Try this simple exercise today to rewire your brain and boost your resilience.
Did you know that neurons in your brain fire from 5-50 times a second, which means you can intentionally rewire your brain for greater resilience in a very short amount of time!
For example, the simple act of feeling grateful has the power to shift our brains into a positive, and more resilient mindset. Research in neuroscience confirms that gratitude affects our brains at a biological level, isn’t that amazing!
Science tells us that it is not in finding the gift, but the willingness to look for it in the first place, that makes the difference. In other words, we just need to remember to look, and this is what shifts our mindset towards resilience
So today, take a moment, sit quietly and reflect on this question,
What am I grateful for?
It could be something tangible, or intangible, such as an opportunity or an experience/ discovery that you have had.
And if you are ready to take it up a level, when you find something to be thankful for, try to hold that in your awareness for at least one minute. (this is how we make new neuronal connections to rewire our brains.)
So, make it a felt experience.
Wishing you a resilient day!
